ZEITGENÖSSISCHER ABEND

DART Dance Company and DART Programs perform two compelling contemporary

evenings. A story searching for the untold with an endless curiosity of what is possible while also

deconstructing, re-contextualising, and reinterpreting our physical building blocks into

a new dance narrative. These sensual and musical pieces will carry the audience into a world filled with mother

nature and ecstasy. Rich in musical nuances, this dance theatre production will be a walk through a

vast and varied emotional landscape, leading to a world of freedom.

The dancers will unleash their creative forces bringing to life the works of Giada Grieco with her emotional and transformative piece:

« IT'S SO PAINFUL, I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE »  and their softness with the piece « Birds Don’t Sing, They Screech In Pain » by Roy Assaf, and our new piece created by Guy Shomroni : « Birth of a Monster ».

Birth of a Monster

Choreographer : Guy Shomroni

Length 30 min

“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster.” - Nietzsche

The birth of a Monster explores the journey of transformation and the duality ofhuman nature. Drawing inspiration from mythology, popular culture, and personal narratives, the work delves into the complexities of identityformation and the birth of inner monsters as a metaphor for the internal struggles that arise during moments of self-discovery and growth.

BIRDS DON'T SING, THEY SCREECH IN PAIN

Choreographer : Roy Assaf

Length 30 min

" One of life's most difficult challenges is not knowing, and I bow deeply to those who manage to sit with the unknown without losing their souls. Every time I enter the studio, I recall that our starting point is the unknown, and that my job is to practice holding it. As tools of this practice, I employ symbols - especially those that carry a historical charge. I like to scatter them in the space of creation and to see what happens, to test whether they are able to transform. "

IT'S SO PAINFUL, I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE

Choreographer : Giada Grieco

Live music by ASERET

Sculpture Design by Jessica Rimondi

Length 30 min

"Love appears at the right moment and space in life but it leaves in different ways, maybe it never does.

How does it leave us?

Do we really fall out of love and have we ever been in love after all?

The human condition and its own growth are strictly connected to the energy and the experiences we accidentally or intentionally share with others;

while we live in this reality that we recognize as life on earth.

The lucky ones have the privilege to meet, maybe once in a lifetime, someone they immediately resonate with;

they allow themselves and the other to enter an intimate world, precious and fragile made of instinct and choices, deep intrigue, sparkling heartbeats and overflowing gratitude.

But what if everything that we thought would have last, suddenly disappears?

IT’S SO PAINFUL, I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE is a dance piece that wants to represent the uncertainty of life and the impermanence of human feelings.

It talks about me and you, it’s about anyone who has ever been in love.

The performance would like to speak to the lost souls who have ever experienced the breaking in two of their identity,

vanishing from the life of their beloved one; or having been forced to do so.

All that remains is scars, a delicate melancholy and an immense nostalgia that seems to reach the internal organs and everything we are made of.

The dance piece is not only a translation of these emotions tough;

it’s also made of anger, strength that comes back, the willingness to accept who we have become and the desire of catharsis and to fiercely start again."
